Japanese publication Famitsu has published its review for Capcom’s Monster Hunter World and while the 39/40 review score should be taken with some skepticism, there are still some interesting details to glean from it.

TheDkmariolink on Resetera posted some details from the review, including how it takes 50 to 60 hours to reach the ending. There’s still plenty of things to do after that though and there are apparently systems for hardcore fans to further immerse themselves in. The story itself has a “strong, solid through line” so take that how you will.

Perhaps the biggest takeaway is the number of quality of life changes made with the publication considering it the next step in the Monster Hunter series. Also, it’s worth checking out if you like cats, which we believe extends to the companions that you can have.

Monster Hunter World is out on January 26th for Xbox One and PS4 with the PC version planned for release in Autumn 2017.
