Developer Cozy Game Pals and publisher Blumhouse Games have announced a release date for old-school horror title Fear the Spotlight. Announced through a trailer during Sony’s State of Play, Fear the Spotlight will be coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch on October 22.

Fear the Spotlight revolves around Vivian and Amy as they survive a séance gone wrong, and must survive and find their way out of Sunnyside High as they hide from the monstruous inhabitants of the school, and solve puzzles along the way.

The game was originally released on PC. The studio took down the original PC release after teaming up with Blumhouse Games to bring more content to the game, while also getting the resources to bring it to more platforms.

Fear the Spotlight makes use of its old-school PS1-inspired art style to throw players into a deep well of nostalgia, since the original platform was famous for horror games like the classic Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and Clocktower franchises.
