Destiny 2 Hotfix Adjusts Faction Token Drops From Activities

Collision detection issue from the Bureaucratic Walk emote has also been fixed.

Destiny 2 Faction Rally

Servers for Bungie’s Destiny 2 were down for maintenance yesterday in order to deploy hotfix 1.0.6.1. With the hotfix deployed and patch notes released, we finally get to know if it’s just a patch for the Bureaucratic Walk Emote’s collision detection (which incidentally cancelled Trials of the Nine for two weeks).

The hotfix does a lot more than that though. It also fixes an issue which caused players to find empty public spaces too often while free roaming along with an issue that caused players to be kicked to Orbit. Interestingly, it also adjusted the drop rates of Faction Tokens. Strikes would now drop 5 to 9 Faction Tokens upon completion, which is an increase from 3 to 7.

Heroic Public Events will only give 5 Tokens as opposed to 8 and you can no longer destroy enemy resources in Lost Sectors for Faction Tokens. Instead, you’ll need to open Lost Sector chests (possible only when defeating the boss) to garner 3 Faction Tokens for each fireteam member. Nightfalls will reward 10 to 18 Faction Tokens per character with each completion.

Check out the full hotfix notes below for more information and let us know what you think of the changes in the comments.
