Destiny 2 Beta Recieves Update 1.04

Weighs 1.281 GB on PS4 and does...something.

After extending it till July 25th, Bungie has released a new update for Destiny 2’s open beta. It brings the beta’s version up to 1.04 and requires 1.281 GB of space on the PS4. Patch notes are currently unavailable for the same despite players being redirected to Bungie’s official Updates page. If you want to keep playing the beta though, you’ll need the update. We’ll keep you posted in case any patch notes come through.

The open beta currently has the first story mission Homecoming, The Inverted Spire Strike, two Crucible modes (Countdown and Control) and two Crucible maps (The Endless Vale and Mid Town). On July 23rd, a new social space called The Farm was also available to try out but only for an hour.

Along with new weapons and gear, players also got access to new sub-classes like the Dawnblade Warlock, Sentinel Titan and Arcstrider Hunter. Older sub-classes like the Voidwalker, Striker and Gunslinger also witnessed several changes though the overall shift in terms of weapon and ability balance has attracted both praise and ire from players.

Destiny 2 arrives on September 6th for Xbox One and PS4. The PC version is out on October 24th.
